Last year, “Voices Carry” raised over $12,000 to support survivors of sexual and domestic violence. This event was an alternative to those who wanted to show their support of survivors rather than attend a show by Bill Cosby. His presence in our community and our country started much needed conversations and local leaders and volunteers provided this event as a way to find information, show support, and embrace those who had experienced assault.

One year later, Cosby has been charged by his Canadian accuser, but the issues haven’t gone away. So, the same dedicated group of volunteers is organizing Voices Carry II.

It promises to be another rockin’ night. And like last year, 100% of proceeds will be donated to the Sexual Assault Support Centre of Waterloo Region and Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region.

Date: Wednesday February 10, 2016 Time: 7 “ 10 pm (doors open at 6 pm)
Dallas Nightclub 312 King St W, Kitchener
Tickets: $20 each, 6 for $100, 12 for $200 available via http://voicescarry.ca/get-tickets/

Can’t make it on February 10? You can still support the cause by making a donation right from the ticketing page. Tax receipts will be issued for all donations after the event. (Just donations, unfortunately we can’t offer them for ticket purchases.)

Last year we had so much food donated for the event, we were able to feed women and children at Women’s Crisis Services for several days with the leftovers. Chris Rau from the Waterloo Wings Up! location was so moved, he has been donating full meals monthly to residents at Women’s Crisis Services.
