Congratulations to the Women’s Crisis Services! On February 25, 2016, we were honored by United Way of Cambridge and North Dumfries and received the award for Telling the Story of Impact. The explanation reads: Awarded to an agency that uses evaluation to tell the story of impact and help stakeholders feel connected to, and passionate about, their services. It is a testament to the attention paid in getting real, current feedback from the women and children we serve. We hand out surveys, collect them, collate them, report on them every quarter and then use the feedback to tell their stories to our many audiences. UW specifically mentioned the Cut it Out program, which is geared toward salon professionals, educating them on how to listen to their customers for signs of abuse and where to direct those who need our services. So congratulations for Telling the Story!
