Finding unique ways to support the community, St Jacobs Furniture House recently took the opportunity to involve one of their own partners.
An event was held on site in their show room on Benjamin Road. A corporate partner invited guests and clients to a reception where they could browse the show room and enjoy cocktails and hors d’oeuvres. They then took their guests next door to the playhouse for a show.
Instead of charging a rental fee for the room, the management of St Jacobs Furniture House requested that a donation be made to Women’s Crisis Services. This generous gesture was very unexpected.
The staff of the Furniture House mentioned that Women’s Crisis Services is very near and dear to their hearts and that they would like to do more in support of women and children moving beyond violence.
Their encouragement and creative ways of showing leadership in support will be uplifting to our staff and clients. Thank you to Sue and Agnes, and all of those involved in making a donation to Women’s Crisis Services.
