We are so fortunate to have the support of the India Canada Association of Waterloo Region.
The goal of India Canada Association (ICA) is to help foster a sense of togetherness and belonging through cultural exchange, encourage and promote local talent, help improve the welfare of the members, and assist in the settlement of newly arrived immigrants.
The association recognizes the work being done by Women’s Crisis Services and feels passionately about supporting women and children to move beyond violence in Waterloo Region.
One of India Canada Association’s highly anticipated and appreciated yearly events is the Musical Program. This energetic and entertaining event showcases local talents, artists and singers alongside the talents and singers from Toronto, Mississauga and other parts of Ontario.
All of this work is done by tireless volunteers who are dedicated to the success of the event and to the success of Women’s Crisis Services.
This year the proceeds were shared with Women’s Crisis Services and the Out of the Cold program.
Events that celebrate and invite the community together to participate and support each other are a real source of pride for us. We are fortunate to be a part of such a supportive group of leaders in Waterloo Region.
Another wonderful celebration when Sheela, Kokila, Chandrika and other members of the Association visited Anselma House. It was on the same day as Diwali and we enjoyed a sunshiney day of sharing news and updates about our work and the ICA.
Thank you for all of your support and for opening up your caring heart for the women and children we serve.
