On March 19th the Back in the Limelight fashion show was held at the Raintree Café in Waterloo in support of WCSWR. This event aimed to create awareness as well as aid in fundraising efforts.
Conestoga College Event Management Students Alex Coleman, Sarah Hintermayer, Nina Kruse and Amanda Stephenson, wanted to create a unique event that would demonstrate their love of fashion while fundraising to support women and children within the community.
The event featured a fashion show vignette, live music, canapés and silent auction, with the proceeds going towards the fundraising goal.
Kourtney Beckman spoke at the event and shared inspirational words about support within the community and how much events can help raise awareness and funds for those in need.
This event raised over $1,300.00, which will go directly to WCSWR to assist with programming, facilities, and much needed supplies.
The event was made possible thanks to many partnerships within the community. The Raintree Café in Waterloo provided the venue and gourmet canapés for the event, Carousel Clothing donated the outfits for the fashion show, and Juneyt entertained guests with live music during the event. We would also like to thank our silent auction donors within the community for their donations.
